Responsibilities

The Commercial Underwriting Investigator will conduct in-depth case reviews to ensure safe trading on the eBay platform, utilizing filters and member reports to make informed decisions. Responsibilities include identifying and documenting trends, providing feedback to leadership and Risk/Trust teams, and offering input on filter performance to developer teams. The role involves handling escalations, responding to appeals, managing customer inquiries via email, and conducting outbound calls for case reviews. Investigators will consult with customers and other business lines to support their success on the platform, present case decisions to leadership, and review documents to understand business models and their impact on eBay. They will also be assigned to projects and initiatives as they arise.
