Commercial Lines Account Manager - O’Kane & Tegay

Position Overview

Foundation Risk Partners is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join their growing O’Kane & Tegay team. This role is crucial for delivering high-quality customer service, ensuring service standards are met, and maintaining client retention. The Account Manager will provide efficient, professional, and courteous service to clients via phone, written correspondence, and in-person interactions.

The position is responsible for managing risk by fostering open communication, elevating concerns, and adhering to established policies and procedures. Account Managers are accountable for driving positive customer experiences and managing risks of all types within the agency's risk appetite.


Responsibilities

  • Provide daily administrative support, including gathering and preparing renewal information (e.g., loss runs, drivers lists, experience mod worksheets).
  • Process endorsement requests, certificates of insurance, evidence of insurance, and cancellation processing.
  • Handle operations duties related to new and existing accounts, risk management, marketing support, and order entry.
  • Ensure timely and accurate execution of all assigned transactions and maintain documentation to standards.
  • Communicate with clients to keep them informed about their insurance.
  • Educate and coach business partners on insurance products, compliance, and operational duties.
  • Invoice applicable accounts and process premiums as required.
  • Maintain current files and prepare policy renewal questionnaires, recommending coverage enhancements.
  • Work expiration lists prior to renewal for customer contact and improved retention.
  • Perform client updates and data entry into the agency system according to department procedures.

Minimum Requirements

  • License: P&C license in the State of California (Required)
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • Experience: 5+ years of industry experience
  • System Proficiency: Epic experience (Required)
  • Specialization: Surplus/excess lines experience (Required)
  • Work Ethic: Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate computer skills, including demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to process tasks by written and oral instructions and resolve issues involving clients, staff, and vendors.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 USD (This is an estimated range; actual salary may vary based on performance, location, and experience.)
