Commercial Account Executive - West Coast Region

Position Overview

Grafana Labs is seeking a motivated Commercial Account Executive to drive new business growth across the West Coast Region of the United States. You will be responsible for identifying, nurturing, and closing opportunities with both new and existing customers. This role emphasizes a consultative sales approach, focusing on understanding customer needs before presenting product solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in articulating the value of Grafana's products, guiding customers through the trial phase, and ensuring a smooth handover to the Customer Success team. A technical background and prior experience selling technical products are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed individual quarterly and annual sales goals.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting to acquire net-new customers.
  • Manage all facets of the sales process, including prospecting, sales meetings, product demonstrations, proofs of concept, proposal development, and negotiations.
  • Cultivate sales through a combination of outbound prospecting and inbound lead follow-up.
  • Clearly understand and effectively communicate the value proposition of both Grafana Cloud and Grafana Enterprise.
  • Maintain and manage the sales pipeline diligently within Salesforce.
  • Handle quote creation, order processing, and address day-to-day customer requests.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Infrastructure Technology Sales.
  • Proven track record of consistent goal achievement in a highly competitive sales environment (demonstrated top 10% performance).
  • Possess an energetic, upbeat, entrepreneurial, and tenacious team-player attitude.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and experience working within high-velocity technology companies.
  • Proficiency in using Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with open-source technology is a significant advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills across all channels (in-person, online, written) and the ability to build strong working relationships both in-person and virtually.
  • Experience utilizing Command of the Message and MEDD(P)ICC methodologies is ideal.
  • Must be located in Colorado or Texas.

Compensation & Benefits

  • OTE Compensation Range (US): $160,000 - $210,000. Actual compensation will be determined by level, experience, and skillset assessed during the interview process.
