Responsibilities

Supervises and leads a team of Clinical Providers to accomplish department and individual goals
Designs, implements, and manages programming and operations in a designated specialty service line and/or program
Functions in accordance with the system’s Operational Guidelines and within relevant professional code of ethics
Meets department-specific productivity expectations for minimum hours of direct client care and coordinates with support services to avoid cancellations
Ensures all client documentation is accurate, aligned with best practices, and submitted within expected timeframes
Provides individual, group, family, and/or practical counseling to meet client needs and treatment goals
Presents educational material in public forums to promote community understanding of mental health
Carries a regular caseload as established with supervisory staff
Participates in client staffing to identify problems, establish treatment goals, and manage assigned cases
Participates in or coordinates emergency services for emotional crises
Maintains knowledge of the system’s programs, admission criteria, and referral processes
Provides or coordinates comprehensive follow-up plans for responsible clients
Maintains general knowledge of community resources and access methods
Participates in peer review staffing, departmental/agency meetings, and staff development activities
Cooperates with utilization review procedures and follows established Quality Assurance/Compliance/Revenue Cycle procedures
