Responsibilities

  • Supervises and leads a team of Clinical Providers to accomplish department and individual goals
  • Designs, implements, and manages programming and operations in a designated specialty service line and/or program
  • Functions in accordance with the system’s Operational Guidelines and within relevant professional code of ethics
  • Meets department-specific productivity expectations for minimum hours of direct client care and coordinates with support services to avoid cancellations
  • Ensures all client documentation is accurate, aligned with best practices, and submitted within expected timeframes
  • Provides individual, group, family, and/or practical counseling to meet client needs and treatment goals
  • Presents educational material in public forums to promote community understanding of mental health
  • Carries a regular caseload as established with supervisory staff
  • Participates in client staffing to identify problems, establish treatment goals, and manage assigned cases
  • Participates in or coordinates emergency services for emotional crises
  • Maintains knowledge of the system’s programs, admission criteria, and referral processes
  • Provides or coordinates comprehensive follow-up plans for responsible clients
  • Maintains general knowledge of community resources and access methods
  • Participates in peer review staffing, departmental/agency meetings, and staff development activities
  • Cooperates with utilization review procedures and follows established Quality Assurance/Compliance/Revenue Cycle procedures
