  • Field-based position supporting Abbott’s Vascular division in Connecticut and Springfield, MA
  • Expertise in endovascular procedures and products, with heavy focus on Vessel Closure
  • Ability to serve as technical procedure and product expert in hospital settings (e.g., Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology Lab, Operating Room)
  • Skills in case planning, case support coverage, and product pull-through
  • Capability to meet with existing and potential customers (e.g., physicians, hospital personnel) to identify needs and demonstrate products
  • Experience developing relationships, making new contacts, and identifying key decision makers in hospitals
  • Proficiency in providing clinical support, troubleshooting, and in-service education
  • Ability to educate customers via presentations and demonstrations on product usage, therapy, and industry developments
  • Responsiveness to customer needs and complaints with creative solutions, collaborating with sales, clinical research, marketing, and product development
  • Availability to support broader Region with case support as needed

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical procedure and product expert for case coverage in hospital settings
  • Meet with existing and potential customers to identify clinical needs, goals, constraints, and demonstrate how Vascular products meet them
  • Develop relationships with hospital personnel, make new contacts in departments, and identify key decision makers
  • Act as primary resource for clinical support, troubleshooting, and in-service education for company products
  • Educate customers on merits and proper clinical usage of products through presentations and demonstrations using various formats
  • Attend clinical procedures in Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology Lab, and Operating Room to ensure customer and patient success
  • Respond to customer needs and complaints by developing solutions or collaborating with related personnel
  • Provide case planning, case support coverage, and product pull-through in designated territory and Region as needed
  • Promote Vascular products through education, service, and training to achieve sales goals, increase revenues, and grow market share
