Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science (IT or Scientific field preferred) OR equivalent work experience. Diagnostics, Life Science and/or Pathology preferred
  • Prior capital sales experience preferred
  • Ability to travel 50-75% within territory
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 15 lbs, and any other physical requirements
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to travel by car and flying in and out of airports with possible long wait times

Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual product sales goals set for the territory
  • Execute product demonstrations for clients
  • Clearly communicate complex and technical product information as well as technical IT and networking information to a variety of customer stakeholders
  • Serve as technical expert for digital pathology hardware (scanners) and related software products
  • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through delivery of sales and support assistance
  • Travel overnight as necessary (estimated at 50%) for all pre- and post-sales activities, such as customer appointments, trade shows, and customer training
  • Balance customer call activity between existing customer accounts to expand the current base, meeting with active opportunities, and prospecting for new opportunities in the assigned geography
  • Coordinate sales activities within national, multi-site, laboratory accounts by interacting with other departments in the organization to ensure the proper handling of customer requirements
  • Complete documentation of Solution Design with the key stakeholders to facilitate fast implementation of client orders
