Requirements

Eighteen (18) years of age or older
High school diploma required
Proficiency with computer programs (Microsoft, Excel, etc.) and electronic health record software required; Cerner preferred
Previous experience working in an office setting, medical office, or psychiatric setting preferred
Basic knowledge of equipment utilized to perform clerical duties
American Heart Association Provider CPR certification required within thirty (30) days of hire; annual re-certification required
Formal training in crisis prevention and intervention required within sixty (60) days of hire; annual re-certification required

Responsibilities

Perform receptionist and administrative duties related to clinic operations
Collect patient information and maintain confidentiality of patient files
Coordinate with multiple disciplines and customers
Serve as the first and last point of contact with patients daily
Answer telephone and provide accurate Rogers program and services information to callers
Register and schedule patients and confirm insurance guarantor information
Handle daily check-in and check-out of patients and report this information
On admission, verify patient identification, demographic, insurance, and ensure all paperwork and consent information are obtained/updated in the medical record
Maintain and order supplies
Distribute incoming packages and mail
Maintain medical records ensuring accuracy of document placement
Review all active medical records for correct placement of forms and patient information
File all reports accurately and in a timely manner
Complete all documentation within required timeframe
Ensure routine and priority tasks are completed within established timeframe
Coordinate projects as assigned
Track/complete metrics and statistics as assigned by operations leadership
Copy documents for treatment team
Communicate and coordinate transfer process to and from Rogers
Assist in facilitating treatment by acting as a communication resource to other disciplines, external agencies, and as directed by treatment team
Maintain the environment in a safe, orderly manner
Perform other duties as assigned
Conduct self in a professional manner
Demonstrate organizational skills that promote timely response to all inquiries and task completion
Communicate with all individuals in a positive and professional manner
Attempt to resolve individual issues with peers in a positive, calm manner, with a focus on solution
Communicate concerns and provide solutions
Attend outside seminars to promote professional growth
Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude toward all customers
Comply with the Hospital’s policies and procedures, including Human Resources, Infection Control, Employee Health policies and programs
Project a professional image by wearing appropriate, professional attire
