Requirements

  • Eighteen (18) years of age or older
  • High school diploma required
  • Proficiency with computer programs (Microsoft, Excel, etc.) and electronic health record software required; Cerner preferred
  • Previous experience working in an office setting, medical office, or psychiatric setting preferred
  • Basic knowledge of equipment utilized to perform clerical duties
  • American Heart Association Provider CPR certification required within thirty (30) days of hire; annual re-certification required
  • Formal training in crisis prevention and intervention required within sixty (60) days of hire; annual re-certification required

Responsibilities

  • Perform receptionist and administrative duties related to clinic operations
  • Collect patient information and maintain confidentiality of patient files
  • Coordinate with multiple disciplines and customers
  • Serve as the first and last point of contact with patients daily
  • Answer telephone and provide accurate Rogers program and services information to callers
  • Register and schedule patients and confirm insurance guarantor information
  • Handle daily check-in and check-out of patients and report this information
  • On admission, verify patient identification, demographic, insurance, and ensure all paperwork and consent information are obtained/updated in the medical record
  • Maintain and order supplies
  • Distribute incoming packages and mail
  • Maintain medical records ensuring accuracy of document placement
  • Review all active medical records for correct placement of forms and patient information
  • File all reports accurately and in a timely manner
  • Complete all documentation within required timeframe
  • Ensure routine and priority tasks are completed within established timeframe
  • Coordinate projects as assigned
  • Track/complete metrics and statistics as assigned by operations leadership
  • Copy documents for treatment team
  • Communicate and coordinate transfer process to and from Rogers
  • Assist in facilitating treatment by acting as a communication resource to other disciplines, external agencies, and as directed by treatment team
  • Maintain the environment in a safe, orderly manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Conduct self in a professional manner
  • Demonstrate organizational skills that promote timely response to all inquiries and task completion
  • Communicate with all individuals in a positive and professional manner
  • Attempt to resolve individual issues with peers in a positive, calm manner, with a focus on solution
  • Communicate concerns and provide solutions
  • Attend outside seminars to promote professional growth
  • Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude toward all customers
  • Comply with the Hospital’s policies and procedures, including Human Resources, Infection Control, Employee Health policies and programs
