- Possesses a high level of technical insurance knowledge
- Can manage personal performance, adhering to established workflows and processes, as well as those of team colleagues
- Develops effective strategies and tactics and creates positive motivation for team colleagues to achieve vision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of appropriate software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to learn any other appropriate program or software system used by the firm as necessary
- Demonstrates core values, exuding behavior aligned with the firm’s culture
- Maintains all licenses as required by the State Department of Insurance to provide consultation and solutions in states where applicable
Responsibilities
- Leads, mentors, coaches, hires, develops, and evaluates a team of colleagues
- Ensures the delivery of world-class service to all current and prospective clients
- Identifies and implements key performance measures and metrics to contribute to overall business growth, profitability, and innovation
- Works to ensure that measures are scalable and consistent across areas of business
- In partnership with senior leadership, executes client segmentation strategies to meet business goals, profitability, and retention targets
- Responsible for achieving and maintaining high client retention rates
- Ensures efficiency in workflows and operational execution
- Manages insurance company partner relationships, including team meetings and coordinating training for market updates
- Effectively coaches, mentors, and manages team colleagues, fostering professional development and building bench strength
- Creates an environment that encourages open communication and maintains high morale
- Provides day-to-day oversight, direction, and accountability of team colleagues
