Candidates must possess an active Secret Clearance or higher and a BICSI Certification, such as Installer, Technician, or RCDD. They should have at least 3 years of experience in infrastructure installation, structured cabling, or network systems, along with proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams. A strong knowledge of EIA/TIA standards and familiarity with fiber optics splicing and testing are also required. Candidates must be able to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced, high-security environments and have the flexibility to travel and relocate for projects.
The Cleared Infrastructure Technician will install, configure, and maintain infrastructure systems, including structured cabling, fiber optics, and network hardware. They will perform site surveys, assess project requirements, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. The technician will test and troubleshoot infrastructure systems, resolving issues promptly to ensure optimal performance. Collaboration with project managers, engineers, and other team members is essential to complete projects on time and within budget. Proper documentation of installations, configurations, and system changes must be maintained, and adherence to safety standards and security protocols at all project sites is required. Additionally, the technician may provide training or guidance to junior technicians as needed.
