Candidates should have an Associate degree in Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field and at least 1 year of experience in civil CAD drafting with a focus on storm water management or site design. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar civil design software is required, along with familiarity with storm water design standards, land development principles, grading, and drainage plans. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential, as well as the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
The Civil CAD Drafter will prepare and develop detailed CAD drawings for civil engineering projects, focusing on storm water management and site design. They will collaborate with engineers and project managers to produce high-quality layouts, grading plans, storm water plans, and other project-specific designs. Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal standards in civil drafting and design is crucial, along with reviewing and revising drawings based on feedback from the project team. The drafter will assist in preparing preliminary and final design documents, including conceptual plans, construction drawings, and as-builts, while organizing and maintaining CAD files and project records in line with company standards.
