The Chief Information Security Officer must have 10+ years of information security technology experience and 5+ years of management experience. Proven leadership experience across a broad range of software-intensive technical environments protecting trade secrets or other critical intellectual property is required, along with a demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and on budget. A leadership presence and a history of active partnership with senior software development leaders regarding protecting the software development lifecycle are also essential.
The Chief Information Security Officer will own all activities related to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Voleon’s intellectual property, trade secrets, business, investor, and employee data assets. This includes working with executive management to determine acceptable risk levels, maturing the information security management program, and protecting information assets from threats. The CISO will lead technical information security staff, serve as a liaison between business and technology, plan project stages, assess business implications, monitor progress, and prioritize projects. They will also lead the development, execution, and enforcement of security processes, policies, and procedures, lead incident response, threat modeling, and threat hunting, and mature defense-in-depth security. Additionally, the CISO will coach and lead the professional development of their team, drive metrics and accountability programs, engage with investors during due diligence, serve as an information security subject matter expert, and deliver a secure IT platform.
