Position Overview

TetraScience is seeking a visionary leader to own the technical strategy and architecture for all Tetra products. This critical role will involve working closely with product, engineering, and executive leadership to align product strategy with the overall architectural plan. You will lead a small team of architects, making key architectural decisions and collaborating with the engineering team on implementation.

What You Will Do

• Own, define, communicate, and drive the technical vision and architectural strategy for all Tetra products.
• Define the technical strategy for data re-platforming, data engineering, Analytics, and AI/ML layers.
• Support and advise executive leadership on technical and architectural feasibility, implications, readiness, security, and compliance.
• Provide key inputs into technology evaluation and planning activities.
• Drive architecture discussions with partners such as Google, Databricks, and Snowflake.
• Communicate the architecture effectively to engineering teams, product teams, customers, and stakeholders.
• Mentor and train team members on design techniques, systems architecture, and coding standards.
• Drive innovations to improve the scalability, availability, resiliency, and performance of services and products.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and forge key relationships with industry peers.
• Provide thought leadership and represent TetraScience at industry and technology conferences.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience designing and building highly scalable data platforms.
• Significant experience with AWS, Services-Architecture, and web-scale design patterns.
• Demonstrated ability to drive architectural vision for a company or a highly scalable line of products.
• Proven track record of success in developing product strategy within a startup environment.
• Hands-on experience in building Platform Architecture and Microservices/Containers.
