Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 2 Years of Proven Experience

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales targets for specific accounts or territories by promoting and selling Alcon surgical ophthalmic products through various sales activities
  • Develop relationships with key opinion leaders and high-volume users while discovering and developing new business opportunities
  • Implement a sales plan and strategy, visiting customers frequently to provide necessary support
  • Conduct events and meetings to update customers on products, services, and prices, and create and maintain a customer database
  • Conduct competitive market analysis to maintain Alcon's product market share and react to competition by assessing the market
  • Provide timely reports and ensure accurate and timely documentation of sales activities and customer interactions according to company needs
  • Establish leadership role as local team lead for all activities
  • Promote the sales of a product to new and established accounts to achieve sales objectives and greater market penetration
  • Maintain and optimize existing relationships and lead business with existing key customers
  • Implement feedback on competitor activities in the field via line management
  • Prioritize and coordinate local meetings on territory, ensuring adequate catering facilities, company literature, samples and relevant audio visual aids are available where vital
  • Maintain and uphold an excellent company image by way of personal presentation in both demeanor, dress and condition of company car at all times
  • Ensure adequate administrative duties are carried out to guarantee efficient operation of territory
  • Constantly upgrade standard of knowledge and understanding of the specialties in which the company operates
  • Maintain all relevant data in company systems
  • Work as efficiently and economically as possible as a professional salesperson
  • Identify equipment opportunities and support market development
