Requirements

Clear understanding of all BJ’s Membership options, including the importance of renewals and upgrading to BJ’s Loyalty programs
Ability to provide a high level of customer service to Members
Ability to check Members out in a timely and efficient manner
Ability to scan all club merchandise through a point-of-sale system to ensure accurate inventory counts and accurate purchase totals
Ability to fill shopping carts when necessary and assist Members
Maintain a friendly and positive attitude
Commitment to GOLD Member Standards: Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate (GAA)
Embrace inclusion and diversity, working with collaboration and respect
Act with honesty and integrity, leading with the member in mind
Ensure a safe and positive environment for members and team members

Responsibilities

Process Member purchases in a courteous and friendly manner, including verifying, renewing, upgrading, and offering several types of membership products
Scan merchandise and accept various forms of payments
Provide excellent member service in an efficient and productive manner
Maintain the overall cleanliness of the front-line department
Offer all appropriate membership products such as membership renewal, EASY renewal option, BJ’s Loyalty programs, and Rewards redemption
Carry out job functions and responsibilities as assigned
Support the application of club policies, procedures, and compliance
Address all member concerns and escalate as appropriate
Resolve and deescalate member concerns
Work as a team to achieve goals, deliver GOLD club standards daily, and maintain Grand Opening Look (GOL) daily
Ensure all items are stocked, promotional plans are executed, visible accurate signage is maintained, and areas are clean and organized inside and out
Understand how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for the department
