Requirements
- Clear understanding of all BJ’s Membership options, including the importance of renewals, upgrading to BJ’s Loyalty programs
- Ability to offer appropriate membership products such as membership renewal, EASY renewal option, BJ’s Loyalty programs, and Rewards redemption
- Knowledge of how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for the department
- Commitment to GOLD Member Standards: Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate (GAA)
- Ability to maintain a friendly and positive attitude
- Capacity to work as a team to deliver GOLD club standards daily, including Grand opening look, all items stocked, promotional plans executed, visible accurate signage, clean and organized inside and out
Responsibilities
- Process Member purchases in a courteous and friendly manner, including verifying, renewing, upgrading, and offering membership products
- Scan merchandise and accept various forms of payments
- Provide excellent member service in an efficient and productive manner
- Maintain the overall cleanliness of the front-line department
- Check Members out in a timely and efficient manner
- Scan all club merchandise through a point-of-sale system to ensure accurate inventory counts and accurate purchase totals
- Fill shopping carts when necessary and assist Members
- Deliver service excellence through all points of contact, resolve and deescalate member concerns
- Ensure a safe and positive environment for members and team members
- Carry out job functions as assigned, support club policies, procedures, and compliance
- Act with honesty and integrity, lead with the member in mind, escalate concerns as appropriate
- Embrace inclusion and diversity, work collaboratively with respect
