Position Overview

Humana Healthy Horizons in Ohio is seeking a Care Management Support Assistant 2 to join our caring community and contribute to our mission of putting health first. This role provides non-clinical support for care management, assisting in the assessment and evaluation of members' needs to achieve and maintain optimal wellness. You will guide members and families toward appropriate resources for their care and well-being. This position involves varied and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments, typically on semi-routine tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Care Management (CM) support by managing shared mailboxes and entering data into CM work queues.
  • Mail letters and educational materials.
  • Research members who are unable to be contacted.
  • Complete other administrative functions as assigned.
  • Make decisions focused on the interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments.
  • Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, with some latitude over prioritization, timing, and minimal direction.
  • Follow standard policies and practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation, deviation, and/or independent discretion.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of administration support experience within the healthcare industry.
  • Minimum 1 year of intermediate or better working knowledge using Microsoft Office Programs, specifically Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
  • Proficiency with systems and platforms, and an ability to troubleshoot and resolve general technical difficulties.
  • Decision-making skills regarding own work approach, priorities, work assignments, standards, and resources.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with care and well-being resources.
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree.
  • Microsoft Access proficiency.

Workstyle & Additional Information

  • Workstyle: Remote work at home.
  • Hours: Must be able to work a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time.
  • Travel: None. Occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Internet Service Requirements for Remote Work:

  • Minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps.
  • Wireless, wired cable, or DSL connection is suggested.
  • Satellite, cellular, and microwave connections may be used only if approved by leadership.
  • Employees residing in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will receive a bi-weekly payment for internet expenses.

Equipment:

  • Humana will provide appropriate telephone equipment for the position.
  • Employees must work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member Protected Health Information (PHI) / HIPAA information.
