Care Management Support Assistant (CMSA)

Employment Type: Full time Location Type: Remote (Occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Pay Range: $39,000 - $49,400 per year

Position Overview

The Care Management Support Assistant (CMSA) employs a variety of strategies, approaches, and techniques to support a member's optimal wellness state by coordinating services & resources. The CMSA may support various functions including care and service coordination, transition coordination, redeterminations, and personal directed attended care. Decisions are typically focused on the interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction. Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the administration of Care Management, primarily through assisting and supporting Service Coordination staff.
  • Provide non-clinical support to the assessment and evaluation of members' needs and requirements to achieve and/or maintain an optimal wellness state by guiding members/families toward and facilitating interaction with resources appropriate for the care and well-being of members.
  • Monitor and support all actions related to grievances and overall member experience.
  • Track and facilitate care management referrals.
  • Collect data from electronic health records and communicate findings to the Market Development team in a clear and concise manner.
  • Provide administrative support for a variety of projects across the Indiana market.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Must Reside in the State of Indiana.
  • 2+ years of administrative support experience in a healthcare industry.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with care and well-being resources.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree.
