Requirements

  • Associates Degree or some college credits preferred
  • High School Diploma (implied minimum)
  • Knowledge of technical concepts and practices, and understanding of product or system fundamentals
  • Ability to apply knowledge from basic to complex towards resolution of manufacturing and/or R&D tasks
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems requiring interpretation of procedures and practices
  • Ability to analyze situations or data to identify issues and trends
  • Ability to collect, compile, measure, organize, and record data
  • Ability to provide input to engineering, qualifications, and validation studies and reports
  • Ability to write procedures and may keep lab notebook
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize own daily work routine to meet established schedule and assigned tasks
  • Ability to communicate as a team member with other functional groups and internal customers
  • Ability to contact outside vendors as part of job responsibilities
  • Ability to complete daily work to meet established schedule with guidance from supervisor on prioritization
  • Ability to solve problems of limited scope and complexity requiring basic interpretation of well-defined procedures and practices
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information or documents

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate calibration functions on all testing and measuring equipment throughout Manufacturing and Research operations
  • Coordinate and review precise calibrations per written and automated procedures on measuring and testing equipment, tools, gauges, and fixtures as defined by the calibration schedule
  • Maintain clear and concise records to facilitate timely problem identification, development of department procedures, and compliance with internal and external regulations (including QSR and ISO Standards)
  • Coordinate set-up, testing, repair, inspection, and/or maintenance of all area-specific equipment, materials, systems, and/or products
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems requiring interpretation of procedures and practices
  • Analyze situations or data to identify issues and trends

  • Provide input to engineering, qualifications, and validation studies and reports; write procedures and may keep lab notebook
