Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, finance, or related field (professional certifications like CPM, CPSM, CIRM, CPIM are a plus)
  • Minimum 6 years in procurement at a manufacturing site
  • Technical knowledge of SA8000, IATF, VDA, ISO standards (14001, 45001, 9001), and REPSE compliance
  • English proficiency at 90% (TOEFL certified)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, SAP, and procurement suites
  • Core competencies: strategic thinking, negotiation skills, advanced knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and SAP, project management, financial acumen, collaboration, and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement category strategies to meet plant operational requirements
  • Drive cost reduction and optimization initiatives across plants and functional areas
  • Act as SME and coach junior buyers
  • Execute source-to-pay processes in compliance with policies
  • Manage vendor contracts and oversee contract lifecycle
  • Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers (pricing, payment terms, lead times, Incoterms)
  • Maintain vendor master data and ensure compliance with SA8000 and REPSE programs
  • Partner with internal stakeholders at the plant for procurement needs
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and cross-functional teams
