Requirements

  • Business development or solution sales experience in B2B payments in Southern Europe, with a focus on Portugal
  • Develop an understanding of Visa's range of solutions for B2B opportunities, including Visa network capabilities and partner-delivered solutions (e.g., Visa Commercial Pay suite and mobile solutions)
  • Build an understanding of the technology environment around SME, procurement, and T&E in Europe (e.g., ISVs, ERP system providers, procurement networks, corporate travel ecosystems, Fintechs focused on B2B payments)
  • Master understanding of B2B payments and payment services (e.g., account-to-account services, domestic and cross-border, request-to-pay, Open Banking models, B2B marketplaces)
  • Be a highly experienced, confident, expert, and consultative team member capable of working autonomously with Issuers, customers, Fintechs, corporates, and stakeholders
  • Ability to identify B2B payment challenges (e.g., SME, Procurement), design payment solutions using Visa products, and manage opportunities through to implementation

Responsibilities

  • Support Visa account executives and sales managers to grow portfolios in B2B Payments (SME, Procurement, Travel & Entertainment (T&E))
  • Self-scout and develop opportunities in underpenetrated (e.g., Fleet & Mobility) and emerging verticals (e.g., B2B marketplaces) where Visa has no existing footprint
  • Help Issuers develop strategies for B2B payment opportunities, directly support them with key deals, and manage new Visa prospects and partners in the corporate environment
  • Build adoption of the Visa network and commercial products for B2B use cases in physical, virtual, and mobile formats
  • Build relationships with technology ecosystem players (e.g., ISVs, ERP providers, Fintechs) and collaborate with the partnerships team to create referral or reseller opportunities
  • Work with wider VCS Southern Europe and Hub teams to pursue prospects and manage opportunities
  • Collaborate with Product and Solution sales teams to design and implement payment solutions
