Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Health Economics, Life Sciences, or a related field
  • ABPI qualified
  • Strong experience in nephrology, particularly in rare diseases such as PNH, aHUS, or with complement inhibitors
  • Prior experience in biosimilars or biologics highly desirable
  • 3–5 years in UK pharmaceutical sales, engaging with specialist stakeholders in secondary care
  • Proven ability to develop impactful partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Resilient team player with strong leadership and communication skills
  • Creative thinker with excellent presentation and influencing capabilities
  • Willing to travel regularly across the UK; proximity to major transport links (motorways, rail, airports) advantageous
  • Full UK driving licence required
  • Located in the North of England (Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, or surrounding areas preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial activities across 30–40 specialist rare disease centres throughout the UK
  • Build strong relationships with hospital stakeholders including clinicians, hospital managers, and high-cost drug pharmacists to drive product uptake and patient access
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure decision-makers are fully informed and supported for optimal prescribing
  • Position the company as a trusted partner in the biosimilars and biologics space
  • Monitor and report on competitor activity, treatment trends, and prescribing criteria
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to market share growth
