Candidates should possess bookkeeping experience, preferably in construction, and knowledge of construction accounting and job costing is required. Experience with estimating processes, bids, or take-offs is a strong plus, along with proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Buildertrend. Strong Excel and data entry skills, attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy are also necessary, alongside excellent communication and organizational skills.
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting, job costing, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll. They will maintain accurate financial records using accounting software, perform job costing and track expenses by project, process accounts payable and receivable, reconcile bank accounts, prepare financial reports, assist with estimating by reviewing plans, and manage payroll while ensuring compliance with construction labor laws.
