Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in healthcare billing/claims or a related field. A minimum internet speed of 3.8Mbps/3.0Mbps (up/down) is required, along with comfort in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment. Essential knowledge includes healthcare billing and insurance practices, medical terminology, and member engagement in healthcare. Excellent communication, teamwork, empathy, and attention to detail are also necessary.
The Billing Coordinator will partner with members to navigate healthcare systems and billing, ensuring a concierge-level experience. Responsibilities include collaborating with medical professionals and payers for seamless care coordination, managing member communications via chat and phone, and resolving concerns. The role involves acting as a single point of contact to coordinate resources, identify gaps, and provide follow-up. This includes responding to inquiries about insurance claims, navigating complex billing workflows, communicating next steps to patients, and collecting delinquent accounts. Responsibilities also include examining bills for accuracy, coordinating with providers for patient care, connecting members to appropriate resources, suggesting workflow improvements, documenting communications, and learning complex billing and claims workflows.
