Requirements

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have at least 3 years of customer service experience, preferably assisting patients in a healthcare setting. Experience in a high-volume Contact Center environment is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual communication tools. Strong verbal and written communication skills, flexibility, adaptability to change, and a patient-focused, professional demeanor in stressful situations are essential. Independent thinking and sound judgment are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Customer Care Advocate will answer inbound calls, investigate patient insurance, estimate benefit coverage and out-of-pocket costs, and discuss patient responsibilities and payment options. Responsibilities include making outbound calls to patients, documenting all activities in the customer support system, and maintaining patient data confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA. The role also involves meeting productivity metrics, troubleshooting customer issues, and providing superior customer care.
