Position Overview

Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first. The Consumer Service Operations Representative 3 is responsible for the daily activities across multiple service functions areas. This role performs advanced administrative/operational/customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment, and may apply intermediate mathematical skills.

Important Note: This position requires travel to one of five different locations each day on rotation in Plantation, Lauderdale Lakes, and Hallandale Beach (zip codes ranging from 33324, 33313, 33317, and 33009).

Responsibilities

The Bilingual (English/Creole) Consumer Service Operations Representative III may perform a variety of tasks including:

  • Installation and implementation
  • Client support and services
  • Client administration
  • Customer service
  • Enrollment and eligibility
  • Claims processing
  • Call center operations
  • Investigating and settling claims and customer service issues

Decisions are typically focused on methods, tactics, and processes for completing administrative tasks/projects. This individual regularly exercises discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests and interpreting and adapting procedures, processes, and techniques, working under limited guidance due to previous experience, breadth and depth of knowledge of administrative processes, and organizational knowledge.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be able to and willing to travel between the 5 different locations in Plantation, Lauderdale Lakes, and Hallandale Beach (zip codes ranging from 33324, 33313, 33317, and 33009). You will travel to a different clinic each day.
  • Bilingual English/Creole: Ability to read, write, and speak fluently without limitations or assistance.
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
  • Aptitude for quickly learning and navigating new technology, systems, and applications.
  • Working knowledge of computers.
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Degree
  • Clerical support experience in a healthcare environment
  • CNA or Medical Assistant experience
  • Quality experience
  • Medicare experience
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and/or ICD-10 codes

  • Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
