Requirements

MS, MA, or PhD with concentration in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, cognitive science, economics, or operations research
Minimum of 3 years direct experience programming large, multi-source datasets with SAS
Minimum of 3 years in health care setting (or any combination of education and experience providing equivalent background)
Within reasonable commuting distance of Rocky Hill, CT or Wallingford, CT office (hybrid 1-2 days in-office per week; candidates not within distance not considered unless accommodation granted)

Responsibilities

Conduct data analysis, review and incorporation of relevant literature, collaborative project design
Perform associated data collection activities including extracting and manipulating data
Use statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful reports depicting trends in performance measures
Conduct basic statistical analysis, report writing, and present results at committee meetings
Understand and assist with updating performance measure methodology, including reporting and data requirements
Use quality improvement techniques to improve organizational and/or provider performance
Create statistical models to predict, classify, quantify, and/or forecast behavioral health (BH) outcomes and business metrics
Design modeling studies to address specific issues determined by consultation with internal and external partners
Prepare analytical data sets based on Medicaid claims and authorization data in support of modeling studies
Build, test, and validate statistical models
Publish results and address constraints/limitations with high level partners
Proactively collaborate interdepartmentally to determine identified population segments and develop actionable plans to enable identification of patterns related to quality, use, cost, and other variables
