Requirements

Licensed Cosmetology/Esthetician license (current and active, displayed during all working hours as mandated by the state)
Ability to successfully pass assessments of proficiency before performing services in store
Passion for the beauty industry and enthusiasm for latest beauty trends and techniques
Sales-oriented with strong verbal skills for personalized sales service, upselling, suggestive selling, and generating sales
Confident and comfortable engaging customers in conversations to stimulate thought processes and close sales
Product knowledge as a brand expert to answer customer questions in detail and maximize sales basket
Ability to provide ear-piercing services in all stores and perform all other applicable services offered in any location worked
Time management skills to handle consultations, scheduled services, and walk-in clients effectively
Compliance with CVS sanitation, hazardous waste disposal policies, hygiene standards, and professional appearance guidelines
Commitment to ongoing sales, brand, and paid service execution training with CVS and service partners

Responsibilities

Seek out customers to provide a world-class beauty advisor experience
Deliver personalized sales service based on customer needs, including productive upselling and suggestive selling
Engage all customers with CVS services, Beauty Club programs, in-store events, and current promotions to close sales of products and services
Represent CVS and partner brands, upholding the highest standards of service
Perform ear-piercing services and all other applicable paid beauty services offered in the location
Educate customers by demonstrating proper product usage, highlighting features and benefits to drive purchase conversion
Manage time effectively between consultations, scheduled services, and walk-in clients
Create and maintain product displays, special promotional materials in support of brand, corporate, and local advertising efforts
Participate in and represent CVS at sales programs and/or events
Maintain a beautiful and clean assigned area, keeping it well-stocked, well-merchandised, and compliant with hygiene standards
Ensure timely and compliant execution of all CVS sanitation and hazardous waste disposal policies
Complete ongoing sales, brand, and paid service execution training in a timely manner
Maintain a professional colleague appearance in compliance with company policies at all times
