Responsibilities

Administer and maintain storage infrastructure, including storage area networks (SAN)
Monitor storage performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies for optimal throughput and reliability
Work with storage technologies such as Fibre Channel, RAID configurations, and other storage visualizations
Manage storage using tools and frameworks such as EMC Unisphere and IBM Storage Manager
Provision storage resources and allocate space to meet application and data needs
Troubleshoot and resolve storage issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors
Implement and maintain storage security measures, including access controls, encryption, and data protection
Conduct storage capacity planning and forecasting for future growth and business requirements
Create and maintain documentation for storage configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
Ensure appropriate storage media are controlled, accounted for in inventory, and released to off-site processes and on-site storage areas
Ensure all restorable media, necessary copies of software, documentation, and supplies at off-site locations are kept current and reviewed periodically
Maintain procedures for delivery of backup materials to recovery facilities/sites
