Position Overview

Nasdaq is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to join a dedicated development team. This role involves delivering solutions to the cloud for an industry-leading surveillance product suite. The position is ideal for an engineer with prior experience in delivering similar solutions for large enterprises within a fast-paced, time-critical environment. You will be part of the Nasdaq Trade Surveillance team, contributing to technology that powers surveillance and compliance for numerous marketplaces, regulators, and market participants globally.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and maintain AWS solutions for large enterprise organizations.
  • Develop complex solutions utilizing a range of AWS Services.
  • Maintain operational documentation required for second-line operations.
  • Lead projects and independently execute project components within large implementation initiatives.
  • Participate in all application-related activities, including handling incoming issues, incident resolution, managing requirements, launching new releases, and enhancing processes and automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in AWS and Cloud environments, Linux Administration, Networking, Application Operations, or related areas.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in AWS services and architecture (AWS certifications are a plus).
  • Proven expertise in Linux.
  • Good experience/knowledge with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code - IaC).
  • Extensive knowledge in designing and creating CI/CD pipelines.
  • Extensive experience with Git/GitLab.
  • Experience working with Financial Services Institutions is a desirable asset.
