Requirements

Candidates should have 3+ years of software engineering or technical automation experience, with proficiency in scripting languages like JavaScript, Python, or TypeScript. Experience with automation platforms such as Zapier or N8N, familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS (especially Lambda, S3, Step Functions), and experience integrating APIs and webhooks are required. A strong understanding of system design, modular architecture, debugging, and effective communication and problem-solving skills are also necessary. Bonus points include certifications in relevant platforms, experience automating tasks in Slack, Zoom, Atlassian tools, or Salesforce, exposure to AI/ML-based automation tools, experience in fintech or SaaS industries, and familiarity with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

The Automation Engineer will design, develop, and maintain automation workflows using tools like Zapier, N8N, Atlassian JSM, Slack and Zoom apps, and AWS Lambda. They will evaluate and integrate AI-powered features of automation platforms, partner with internal teams to identify repetitive processes and implement automation solutions, and build/maintain dashboards to track automation performance. Responsibilities also include writing custom scripts using JavaScript, Python, or other suitable languages, contributing to documentation and best practices for automation strategies, and collaborating with security and infrastructure teams to ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
