Requirements

The ideal candidate must be a current member in good standing with at least one state bar, possessing 5+ years of legal experience with progressively increasing responsibilities, substantial experience in structuring, drafting, and negotiating sophisticated commercial contracts, and a strong attention to detail. Experience with intellectual property transactions is a plus, along with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively with diverse internal clients, manage multiple projects, adapt to changing conditions, and navigate ambiguity.

Responsibilities

As the primary attorney supporting Kairos Power’s supply chain and procurement team, the attorney will draft, review, and help negotiate a wide variety of domestic and cross-border contracts, including supply of goods, consulting, transportation, contingent workforce, lease, information technology, construction, and EPC agreements. They will develop and maintain template agreements, playbooks, and a database of contract clauses, develop and implement contracting processes and related company training, provide guidance on vendor engagements, respond to questions about NDAs and contractual terms, partner with internal clients to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, and assist with pre-litigation disputes. Furthermore, the attorney will stay abreast of relevant legal developments and market trends, and assist with other legal work as needed.
