Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent and demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical systems and equipment installation. Experience in a technical field, such as electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance, is preferred. The ability to read and interpret complex diagrams and CAD drawings is essential, as is familiarity with basic Internet Protocol (IP) and computer networking requirements.
The Associate Installation Technician will be responsible for the on-site physical installation, functional testing, and quality inspection of surgical light suspensions, surgical booms, video integration systems, and other ancillary equipment. This includes confirming site readiness, performing detailed product inventory, communicating issues, installing equipment according to quality and safety standards, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, documenting activities, and providing project updates to stakeholders. The role also involves coordinating travel arrangements, managing daily schedules, and maintaining project stakeholder relationships, as well as coordinating with electricians, plumbers, general contractors, and perioperative hospital staff.
