Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience within structured finance, or within a large commercial bank, investment bank, investing institution, or audit company, specifically in the field of credit analysis of structured finance or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of insurance financial statement analysis and accounting principles
  • Proficiency with figures and the ability to maintain accuracy and be detail-oriented while complying with deadlines
  • Ability to prepare forecasts based upon reasoned assumptions
  • Solid communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capacity to expand, learn, and contribute
  • Ability to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week (hybrid work requirements)

Responsibilities

  • Perform rigorous analytical work, research, fundamental credit analysis, analysis of financial statements, building of financial models and forecasts, and writing analytical reports on rated insurance companies
  • Maintain direct analytical responsibility for a portfolio of rated insurance companies, ensuring ongoing surveillance and providing rating recommendations
  • Engage in ongoing surveillance and rating recommendations to uphold the integrity and excellence of our ratings
  • Maintain analytical contact with senior management of rated entities, presenting analytical findings to both internal and external constituencies
