Requirements

  • Leadership experience in managing frontline operations and/or projects in process engineering
  • Knowledge of process equipment, flow, critical process requirements, and engineering standards
  • Expertise in establishing control systems for monitoring, trending, and verifying equipment performance
  • Proficiency in asset qualification processes, troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis, and FMEA
  • Ability to align with cross-functional teams (TS/MS, Process Automation, Maintenance/Reliability, Quality)
  • Skills in project management, financial oversight (e.g., SAP system), and ensuring on-schedule delivery
  • Understanding of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) requirements, policies, and programs (e.g., Dust Explosion, Industrial Ergonomics, Containment)
  • Experience with lean principles and tools (e.g., Gemba walks, A3, DMS) for continuous improvement
  • Ability to compare equipment performance data and target world-class operations
  • Strong administrative leadership, performance management, and development of engineering teams aligned with company values

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Process Engineering group, establishing systems for reliable operations and qualified process equipment
  • Ensure process equipment is in control, compliant, and capable of meeting production requirements while driving continuous improvement
  • Provide oversight to process equipment for understanding equipment flow, process flow, and critical requirements across all process steps
  • Oversee engineering standards applicable across process teams
  • Establish control systems to monitor, trend, and verify process equipment performance
  • Ensure asset qualification review process across all process steps
  • Support/lead troubleshooting efforts, aligning with cross-functional teams, and utilize formal problem-solving techniques (Root Cause Analysis, FMEA)
  • Respond to and deliver customer requests related to process equipment
  • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and maintain financial oversight in SAP system per financial policy
  • Participate in assigned teams and support yearly deliverables
  • Support EHS agenda: identify/assign resources, establish goals, participate in audits, complete action plans, support event reporting/investigation/CAPA, and drive continuous improvement
  • Conduct Gemba walks, apply lean principles/tools to drive improvements, identify opportunities (procedural changes, upgrades, projects)
  • Compare equipment performance data with other operations to identify opportunities targeting world-class levels
  • Participate in PR01 Engineering Lead Team & Lilly del Caribe Engineering Teams, defining/delivering objectives
  • Collaborate with Engineering Tech Center to drive continuous improvement, share lessons learned, and best practices
  • Develop organization aligned with Lilly Values, using technical knowledge for site goals and personal growth
  • Lead performance management process for Process Engineers
