Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first. Humana is seeking a forward-thinking Associate Director for Finance Technology to join our Finance IT Delivery leadership team. In this role, you will shape and execute our Finance technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and the evolving needs of our Finance organization. You’ll bring a deep understanding of Finance technology trends and lead innovation across our systems to deliver a modern, data-driven, and scalable associate experience.
The Associate Director, Technology Solutions devises an effective strategy for executing and delivering on IT business initiatives. The Associate Director, Technology Solutions requires a solid understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across department(s).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a forward-looking Finance technology strategy that supports business growth, drives automation, and enhances the digital employee experience.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Finance customers - serve as the primary liaison between Finance IT Delivery and business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet end-user needs and strategic goals.
- Lead a team of Finance associates and contractors, driving a culture of innovation, excellence, and accountability.
- Identify and champion emerging Finance technologies, AI capabilities, and automation to improve financial planning and operational intelligence and efficiency.
- Oversee implementation, enhancements, and support for key platforms including Oracle EPM, Anaplan and related technologies.
- Ensure strong system performance, data integrity, and security through rigorous governance and proactive compliance practices.
- Build a best-in-class Finance data and analytics function to deliver insights on financial planning, and performance.
- Drive continuous improvement across Finance processes through automation, digital workflows, and user-centric design.
- Manage third-party vendors and contracts—including SLAs, renewals, and RFPs—ensuring service quality, cost-effectiveness, and future scalability.
- Collaborate with HR, Legal, and Procurement to ensure alignment on sourcing, renewals, and commercial terms.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of IT transformation experience.
- 7+ years of experience in Finance, Finance technology; at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Deep expertise in Finance platforms (e.g., Oracle Fusion, Oracle EPM, Anaplan).
- Possess strong Finance domain expertise.
- Demonstrated success leading process reengineering, and automation initiatives.
- Strong analytical mindset with a proven track record of data-driven decision-making and financial planning analytics.
- Experience managing global Finance Tech strategies, and system consolidation.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams, build stakeholder alignment, and drive innovation.
- Familiarity with compliance standards, Finance data governance, and system audit-readiness.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or other Advanced Degree
- Demonstrated ability to run large scale, highly visible programs with responsibility for multiple project teams
- Possess a solid understanding of operations, technology, communications and processes
- Six Sigma certification
- ITIL certification

- Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office.
- Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
- A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mbps download x 10mbps upload) is required.
- Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
- A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
Travel: While this is a remote role, there may be occasional travel.
