Responsibilities

The Associate Archive Engineer will develop, maintain, and improve internal tools using PHP, JavaScript, CSS, and Python within plugin-based environments, and implement UI enhancements to improve usability and accessibility. Responsibilities include administering and configuring Jira projects, designing and maintaining Jira Automations, and building and maintaining Slack workflows. The role also involves triaging and troubleshooting technical issues, providing technical support for the Physical Archive’s collections management software, and supporting the Library’s integrated library system. Additionally, the engineer will act as Agile/Jira administrator, assist team members with Jira tickets, document and improve internal team processes, create and maintain Jira dashboards, and report on sprint progress and team metrics.
