  • Ability to develop and sustain process knowledge for product, process, and operational control strategies at Alliance Partner (AP) sites
  • Capability for direct and indirect interaction with AP personnel to ensure reliable supply
  • Proficiency in FUME assessment to understand risks to operational control strategies
  • Experience participating in equipment specification and IQ/OQ/PQ with internal or AP resources

  • Skill in identifying process knowledge gaps affecting equipment and process capability
  • Ability to develop or support capture of key process knowledge (e.g., material/energy balances, kinetics, chemistry, process modeling, equipment design basis)
  • Competence in enabling development and maintenance of process knowledge infrastructure (e.g., models, report history, lab models, literature)
  • Utilization of optimization resources/tools for process analysis and improvement studies
  • Ability to review and track key process engineering metrics
  • Skill in identifying systemic issues affecting production and reliable supply from APs
  • Experience leading or participating in root cause analysis and countermeasure development for safety, quality, or throughput incidents
  • Capability to review incident documentation for technical accuracy and approve documentation/decisions at "Responsible Engineer" level
  • Support for development and technical analysis in continuous improvement activities
  • Ability to review cost reduction opportunities, process capacities, and bottlenecks, and assist in prioritization
  • Proficiency in applying statistical thinking/methods to understand process variability and capability at APs
  • Promotion of optimization for unit operation cycle time, loading, and yield performance
  • Engagement with late phase development and Engineering Technical Center resources for contemporary engineering disciplines and portfolio platforms
  • Creation of methodology for visibility into qualification state of key FUME systems at APs
  • Review of equipment/process user requirements and qualification plans for appropriateness
  • Acting as Lilly representative for AP capital project requests for short- and long-term needs

Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain process knowledge to ensure execution of appropriate product, process, and operational control strategy at AP sites
  • Interact directly and indirectly with AP personnel for reliable supply via operational control strategy execution
  • Conduct FUME assessments for risk understanding
  • Participate with internal/AP resources in equipment specification and IQ/OQ/PQ
  • Engage with resources on new/evolving technologies impacting portfolio delivery
