Requirements

  • Adheres to FMCNA Compliance Program, regulatory and FMS policy requirements
  • Knowledge of water treatment, physical plant, medical equipment, mechanical/electrical systems maintenance and repair
  • Ensures compliance with company standard operating procedures, local, state, and federal regulations, OSHA requirements
  • Manages area with typically 10-25 clinics and 7-15 exempt/non-exempt employees
  • Proficiency in management systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Kronos, Service Database)
  • Ability to pilot and implement new systems and processes
  • Skills in repair/maintenance of water treatment, dialysis, ancillary, test equipment, and physical plant per manufacturer recommendations and FMCNA procedures
  • Experience in inventory management, purchasing service parts, handling RGAs and warranty parts
  • Capability to perform water/dialysate sample collection, processing, review, evaluation, and reporting
  • Ability to transport equipment and perform Technical Assessments
  • Collaboration skills with Area Managers, Directors of Operations, Quality/Education personnel, Regional Technical Operations Manager, Project Manager, and Operations personnel

Responsibilities

  • Supervise overall operation, condition, maintenance, and repair of water treatment, physical plant, medical equipment, mechanical/electrical systems in centralized program for safety
  • Drive FMS culture through values and customer service standards; provide outstanding service to external/internal customers; develop relationships; resolve issues timely
  • Manage Technical Services for assigned area (10-25 clinics, 7-15 employees)
  • Work with Area Managers/Directors of Operations to meet operational, financial, regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with Quality/Education personnel on cross-functional initiatives
  • Oversee area financial metrics (TAP, maintenance parts cost, travel/expenses)
  • Ensure data integrity in management systems (PeopleSoft, Kronos, Service Database)
  • Pilot and implement new systems/processes
  • Supervise repair/maintenance on equipment and physical plant; document activities
  • Purchase/maintain service parts inventory; return defective/warranty parts timely
  • Support QAPI process; cooperate on regulatory/OSHA compliance
  • Perform water/dialysate sample collection/processing and quality reporting
  • Transport equipment as needed
  • Collaborate with Director of Technical Services on operating/financial goals
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement improvement processes
  • Collaborate on water treatment equipment selection for DeNovos, relocations, renovations
  • Collaborate with Project Manager on technical/physical plant aspects of projects
  • Integrate Technical Services into acquired facilities
  • Perform Technical Assessments for clinics
  • Initiate/monitor/manage external vendor service/maintenance agreements
  • Ensure manufacturers' IFUs available to personnel
  • Maintain emergency contacts list
