The Area Sales Manager is required to have experience in sales and business development, with a strong understanding of the digital payments landscape and a proven track record of driving merchant acquisition and retention. They should possess excellent communication and leadership skills, and be capable of managing and motivating a team of Business Development Executives.
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for growing the PhonePe merchant network by driving acquisition and servicing, conducting audits and reviews, managing merchants and escalations, monitoring competition, and ensuring payout closure and NOCs within an assigned geographical area, while managing a team of 8-10 Business Development Executives/Rural Team Leads.
