Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
  • At least 1 year of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) experience within the financial industry
  • Active working knowledge of current FIU investigative processes and procedures, including general awareness of all applicable work types (e.g., Bank, Card, and COAF)
  • High level of experience, leadership, and influence
  • Critical thinker able to identify enhancements and opportunities, develop and execute solutions, and foster collaboration and teamwork
  • Proficient communicator able to move seamlessly between oral and written communication and tailor presentations to the audience
  • Organized individual who prioritizes tasks, meets deadlines, and manages multiple responsibilities
  • Strong leader who understands building consensus
  • Driven investigator with strong understanding of AML risk, management practices, and regulatory requirements
  • Effective management of queue, time, and calendar with ability to escalate when appropriate

Responsibilities

  • Conducting investigations within queues (e.g., alert and/or case investigations) while maintaining high standards of production and quality
  • Training, mentoring, and coaching team members
  • Facilitating and assisting with the creation and/or maintenance of New Hire training, Refresher training, and other Departmental training initiatives
  • Assisting people leaders with ad-hoc duties (e.g., SAR reviews when supervisor is on PTO, running team huddles)
  • Participating in appropriate meetings when overseeing teams for people leaders
  • Identifying opportunities to partner with groups outside the department for collaboration, consistency, and awareness
  • Identifying process and procedural improvements, proposing solutions, and owning/managing execution of ideas and outcomes
  • Acting as a “go-to” resource for leadership and investigators for questions and other workstream needs while managing time in production and other responsibilities
