Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Master's Degree with at least 3 years of experience in an analytical or accounting role within a high-growth or tech environment. Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, using aggregate functions/joins, and in Python or R is essential. Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required, along with experience in advanced financial analysis, experimental design, and creating dynamic data visualizations and dashboards in Tableau. Experience designing, implementing, and monitoring data pipelines in Airflow is also necessary. An advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, or Operations Research, experience with subscription-based analytics, SaaS finance, web/app engagement metrics, ERP/accounting systems like NetSuite, and working with remote teams are preferred.

Responsibilities

The Analytics Engineer will lead data-driven projects to support accounting operations, financial reporting, and business direction. They will collaborate with accounting leadership, finance, and engineering teams to define and launch analytical initiatives, and define/manage key accounting and financial metrics. Responsibilities include investigating, interpreting, and presenting financial data for variance analysis and root cause investigations, owning end-to-end project execution, and partnering with engineering/data teams for robust data infrastructure. The role involves providing recommendations to accelerate close cycles, improve reporting, and mitigate risk, developing dashboards and data products, and performing account reconciliations to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
