Requirements

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in the data space as an analyst or analytics engineer. They should also possess 5+ years of experience designing and implementing commercial enterprise dimensional models and working with large-scale cloud data warehouses (1B+ rows). Expertise with advanced SQL techniques, including window functions, common table expressions, and UDFs, is required, along with experience in data investigation and analysis.

Responsibilities

The Analytics Engineer will collaborate with business teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, define analytics outcomes, and build foundational data models and dashboards. They will act as a data modeling and visualization expert, delivering high-impact dashboards on scalable data models. Responsibilities include designing and developing in dbt in a repeatable and scalable manner to advance data maturity, ensuring a single source of truth, keeping data sources current, and maintaining the data dictionary. The role also involves writing SQL that meets internal standards for structure and quality, maintaining these standards through code reviews and peer-reviewing schema changes, and empowering stakeholders in Tableau through documentation, training, and dashboard organization.
