Expertise in SQL for complex queries and data manipulation on large datasets is required, along with a deep understanding of data modeling, transformation principles, and data engineering best practices. Proven experience with dbt is also a must-have.
The Analytics Engineer will own and execute the vision for the data transformation layer, designing, building, and maintaining scalable data models using dbt and SQL. Responsibilities include setting technical standards for data modeling, development, testing, and monitoring, as well as collaborating with stakeholders to deliver reliable data products. The role also involves creating repeatable patterns for integrating data models with BI tools and reverse ETL processes, and championing high standards for development, including change management, source control, code reviews, and data monitoring.
