NIQ is seeking an Analyst to join its Industry Insights team. This role focuses on providing clients with a complete and clear understanding of consumer buying behavior to identify growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Act as an industry insights category expert to support clients in making informed business decisions.
- Deliver analysis and insights on client categories using NIQ data and tools, adhering to NIQ standards and Service Model.
- Develop proficiency in proprietary NIQ tools and metrics to solve client business questions.
- Gain a deep understanding of clients' businesses and needs to generate relevant insights from retail measurement data and other NIQ datasets.
- Present analyses and insights to clients, with guidance and support from seniors.
- Field business questions during briefing processes, ask clarifying questions, and discuss the best analytical approaches.
- Simplify and visualize data, translating numbers into compelling narratives for clients.
- Prepare and, in some cases, present simple ad-hoc analyses.
- Identify revenue leads by staying knowledgeable about NIQ's client solutions and collaborating with senior analysts/managers.
- Proactively communicate roadblocks when they arise.
- Develop expertise in preparing category performance overview and business issue analyses, aligning with Bronze and Silver Academy learnings.
- Manage client briefings, ensuring all necessary information is received and probing for deeper understanding of client issues.
- Contribute to Thought Leadership Projects.
- Become proficient in both CPS (Consumer Panel Services) and RMS (Retail Measurement Services), accurately explaining CPS facts and fundamentals, using Discover to generate and present CPS Insights, and translating consumer and shopper KPIs into customer-centric language.
Requirements
- 0-2 years of industry experience.
- University graduate in Marketing, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent disciplines.
- Demonstrated curiosity and ability to build data-driven stories to answer business questions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Sheets/Slides.
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
- Digital savvy.
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts, tools, and analyses.
