Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. They must have at least five years of experience in project management and commissioning of automation systems within a manufacturing environment. Strong technical skills and the ability to understand complex automation systems are essential, alongside experience with injection molding tooling and plastics manufacturing processes, CNC machines, part fixturing, and integration with automated systems. Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting, qualification of custom automation equipment, and knowledge of regulatory requirements are also beneficial.

Responsibilities

The Automation Engineer will manage the implementation of automation projects from concept to commissioning, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors. They will develop project plans and timelines, coordinate equipment installation and testing, troubleshoot technical issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation systems. The role also involves providing training and support to operations teams, innovating factory processes, and participating in FAT, SAT, and machine buyoff at vendor sites.
