Candidates must have significant experience in visual content creation, multimedia, or digital journalism, with relevant experience using Generative AI tools. A portfolio demonstrating AI-generated visuals and/or experimental formats is required, along with proficiency in tools such as ChatGPT, Pika, Runway, HeyGen, Synthesia, Descript, Photoshop, Canva, and ElevenLabs. A strong understanding of prompt engineering, multi-tool workflows, and content optimization for digital platforms is also necessary. Enthusiasm for staying ahead of trends in AI, multimedia, and digital storytelling is essential.
The AI Visual Content Producer will create dynamic multimedia content using generative AI tools, including videos, illustrations, animations, and visual explainers, ensuring all content is visually polished, platform-optimized, and aligns with brand and editorial standards. Responsibilities include writing optimized prompts for various GenAI platforms, prototyping emerging tools, and building repeatable AI workflows to improve efficiency. The role involves collaborating with producers, editors, and designers to integrate visuals into content packages and coordinating with product and technology teams for infrastructure integration. Additionally, the producer must ensure compliance with copyright, fair use, and legal guidance in all content, follow ethical best practices in GenAI storytelling, and maintain a working understanding of AI tool outputs and risks. The role also includes creating prompt libraries, templates, and internal guides, supporting training efforts, and serving as a resource for GenAI experimentation and best practices within the newsroom.
