Position Overview

Formstack is seeking two AI Interns for a 4-month fixed term to support a significant company-wide transformation focused on integrating AI into every role, team, and function. These positions are crucial to our evolution from being AI-forward to AI-native. As an AI Intern, you will collaborate directly with our CIO, People team, and business leaders to accelerate AI adoption, experimentation, and fluency. This role emphasizes practical, real-world applications, workflow improvements, and impactful results. We are looking for curious, resourceful individuals energized by the prospect of helping a high-growth tech company innovate.

While candidates based in Denver or San Francisco are preferred, remote candidates with an exceptional fit will also be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the CIO, People team, and department leaders to scale AI adoption across the organization.
  • Build and maintain an internal library of high-impact prompts, categorized by function and workflow.
  • Shadow teams to identify pain points and propose AI-enabled solutions that enhance productivity.
  • Support the creation of onboarding materials, live demonstrations, job aids, and training for employees at all levels.
  • Pilot and document real-world AI use cases that align with business priorities and enable new ways of working.
  • Help build excitement and momentum through internal campaigns, peer training, and sharing success stories.
  • Track adoption metrics and employee feedback to continuously iterate and improve AI integration.
  • Stay informed about emerging AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) and assess their potential for team use.
  • Contribute to a culture of experimentation, continuous learning, and responsible AI use, adhering to The Formstack Standard.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities // Required

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Organizational Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Google Cloud Certified in Generative AI or similar, or a commitment to completing the certification before the internship start date.
  • Strong understanding of generative AI tools, prompt design, and how AI can augment human performance.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts and encourage team adoption of new tools.
  • Creative problem-solver with a proactive approach to action, experimentation, and iteration.
  • Highly organized and capable of working independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Enthusiastic about assisting others in adopting new technology with empathy and clarity.
  • Basic coding skills (e.g., Python, Java) to facilitate no-code integrations or tool enhancements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities // Preferred

  • Experience with enablement, instructional design, or internal communications.
  • Familiarity with low-code/no-code tools (e.g., Notion, Airtable, Zapier, n8n, MCP).
  • Background in workshop facilitation or content creation.
  • Exposure to prompt engineering or AI knowledge base development.
