Advisory Identity Strategist

Position Overview

SailPoint is seeking an Identity Strategist security professional to support the growth of our Canadian business. You will partner with our sales teams by applying your Telecommunications or Financial Services and Security expertise, plus business acumen, in support of SailPoint’s growth objectives.

Requirements

  • Experience:
    • 15+ years professional experience in Security implementation, operations, and/or vendor experience.
    • 10+ years working with Identity, Governance, and Access Management solutions.
    • 15+ years of Financial Services industry experience.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
    • High Emotional Quotient (EQ).
    • Expertise in discovering customer requirements.
    • Ability to develop and deliver presentations and messaging that aligns SailPoint solutions to customer desired business outcomes.
    • Working knowledge of technical infrastructure including web services, application servers, databases, virtualization, and directories.
    • Strong knowledge of Identity and Cybersecurity market trends and landscape.
    • Deep understanding of the common business challenges, applications, regulations, and security landscape in the Financial Services industry.
  • Industry Expertise:
    • Security program and operational experience in the Telecommunications or Financial Services industry.
    • Experience with regulatory compliance, cloud security, risk, Zero Trust, and applying Cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST 800-53 and CIS.
    • Thorough understanding of Identity, Governance, User Administration, and Access Management.
  • Attitude & Aptitude:
    • Must-have attributes include exceptional communication skills, high EQ, expertise in discovering customer requirements, and the ability to develop and deliver presentations and messaging that aligns SailPoint solutions to our customers’ desired business outcomes.
    • Successful crew members come from diverse experiences such as: in-house security team leaders, vendor Field CTO - CISO teams, and/or consulting firms with an emphasis on security and identity programs.

Responsibilities

  • Create content (e.g., presentations, blogs, whitepapers, maturity assessments, videos) tying SailPoint solutions to the business challenges and regulations of the Financial Services industry.
  • Discover and understand customer requirements and align our solutions to those requirements.
  • Engage at the C-level in large, complex sales cycles.
  • Lead and influence customers on their identity journey.
  • Build relationships with key customers, partners, and industry thought leaders.
  • Participate in Executive Briefing programs, roadshows, and roundtables.
  • Participate in customer advisory boards and user groups.
  • Influence product management decisions.
  • Deliver product roadmap and vision to customers.
  • Coach Account Executives and Solution Engineers on SailPoint messaging.
  • Maintain a regular cadence with Customer Services Managers, Professional Services, and Support to understand real-life product performance, issues, and challenges.

Location

  • Residence in Canada, preferably Toronto.
  • Anticipated 25% travel; flexibility to travel within the Americas will be necessary.
