Candidates should have proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accounting Assistant and a solid understanding of basic accounting principles. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Desktop and Online, Xero, or similar, along with strong Microsoft Excel skills, is required. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to work independently and manage time effectively, and strong written and verbal communication skills are also necessary. Experience with payroll processing is considered a plus.
The Accounting and Bookkeeping Specialist will manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting. They will prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payment transactions using accounting software, and assist clients with payroll processing while ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The role involves generating financial reports to provide insights for business decisions, maintaining organized financial records, and collaborating with clients to understand their needs and offer customized solutions. Staying updated on best accounting practices and changes in financial regulations is also a key responsibility.
