Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 2+ years of professional experience in audit or accounting
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency with Excel and accounting software (experience with Quickbooks or similar tool is a plus)
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Well-organized and able to handle multiple tasks quickly and accurately
- High energy, flexible, and has a willingness to take initiative
- CPA designation an asset
Responsibilities
- Contribute to monthly financial operations by assisting in account preparation, reconciliation, and conducting insightful analyses of financial statements to ensure accuracy
- Support month-end and year-end close accounting processes
- Collaborate with various departments to gather financial data to ensure accurate accounting records
- Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Support audit preparation and provide relevant documentation to auditors
- Contribute to process improvements and optimization of accounting procedures
